Custom

The Custom option allows you to define your own game design. To add a bonus square to the board, select the square and press a number between 2 and 5. Press the number again to toggle between word and letter bonuses. Press the 1 key to clear a bonus. If you fill in just the top-left corner of the board, you can use the Auto Complete Bonuses button to complete the rest of the board as a mirror image.

To set the tile scores and counts, rack length and bingos, use the Game Design tab. This opens automatically when you choose the Custom design and can be opened manually with the Game Design button.

If you'd like to reuse a custom design you can save it for use in future games. Just click the Save Game Design button (in the Game Design tab if you are looking at a game) and give it a name. You'll find all your saved game designs in the Saved Designs page.

You can also reuse the design from an existing saved game. To do this, just click the Use Design link under the game you'd like to use on the Saved Games page.

It is important to select the correct dictionary for your game, otherwise Scrabulizer may miss words that can be played or find solutions that are not valid. After you have selected a design, the dictionaries drop-down will indicate which dictionaries are recommended.

We are always interested in adding new game design options. If you have any suggestions, please get in touch. We'll need to know the bonus layout, tile scores and counts, rack length and bingo scores before we can add the design.
